My Review: Deadly Obsession is the story of Lauren James and Nic Lamoureux, also known as Nic the lover.
Lauren is a single mom, who works as a department store photographer.
Nic is Hollywood's leading man, who hides a dark secret.
Nic and Lauren are instantly attracted to each other, but in the background, a stalker is trying everything she can to keep them apart.
So, what I loved about Deadly Obsession...Everything!
I haven't read romantic suspense, and after reading this novel, i find myself wondering why i hadn't before.
From the first page, I was hooked on this story.
Nic was an amazing character. Completely gorgeous and sexy as hell but there was more to him than that. I was pleasantly surprised to find that he had depth.
Lauren was great. I loved her right away. Although, a few times I wanted to slap her for doing something stupid :) And her son, Jason was a sweetheart.
I worked out who the stalker was not too far into the book, but the whole way through, I kept thinking maybe it wasn't. The story takes on you so many twists and turns, that you are kept on your toes.
The sex scenes were steamy but not overdone, which is good.
Kristine Cayne, has written a fabulous, engaging, suspenseful and thoroughly enjoyable first novel. I will be keeping my eyes open for anything else she writes.
